Music
So I've actually been listening to a lot of American music, lately. As in, 3 songs. XD Obviously, I'm usually jamming away to my Kpop/Jpop/Cpop mixed iPod, but I do occasionally find American songs catchy. I'm not really biased towards American music, I just find that usually the songs are really dirty. XD Some Korean songs are pretty dirty too, but since they're in Korean, and I don't normally understand Korean, I pretend that they're not dirty. LOL.I've been listening to Down - Jay Sean, Pyramid - Charice feat. Iyaz, and Paparazzi - Greyson Chance (LOL, I love that kid! He's so amazing, and I think it's ridiculous that anyone would hate him. He didn't ask for fame, but he accepted it gratefully. For a 12 year old, you can't not admit that he's talented with his voice, and he's been taking piano for, what, three years? I've been taking piano since 4th grade, and I could not even compare to him. And then people are calling him a boy version of Lady Gaga? He admires her, but I don't think he's going to let a stylist dress him up in her types of get-up. He looks like an ordinary 12 year old boy, that's got some serious talent. So I'd have to say to the haters: STFU, plebeian.)
And another song that I've been listening to is: Blackout - Maslo. I KNOW, I KNOW. BAD VIP. -slaps hand- But it's so catchy, and as much as I love Heartbreaker, I have to reluctantly admit it does sound a lot like Right Round. The fact that he and Flo Rida made a remix of Heartbreaker together doesn't make it sound any less like Right Round. In fact, it makes it more obvious, kind of like he's trying to say that his version is legit too, because Flo Rida's okay with it.
However, VIPs should not be telling YG to sue Maslo. First of all, Maslo completely dissed GD in a manner that wasn't quite obnoxiously disrespectful. I give him +1. "When asked about his song copying GD's, Maslo replied, "No, I was sampling Flo Rida's Right Round." Second of all, Sony should then follow up with YG and sue them for those three songs or whatever (but no one should sue either way because the entire thing is stupid, IMO). GD needs some humbling. In my opinion, his album wasn't as great as everyone made it out to be. Yeah, he had a nice song featuring Teddy and CL. I liked it.
But to be quite honest, I am in love with Wedding Dress, and am dying for Youngbae's and Seunghyun's solo albums. When I look back at everything, I'm wondering why GD is supposed to be so great. Yeah, he's hardworking and all, but when it comes to singing, rapping, dancing... does he really own everyone else in any of those aspects? :/ But he's like the revered leader of Big Bang. I love GD and all, but he's becoming increasingly less impressive in my eyes, when placed next to all of the other Big Bang members.
Oh and people who say that Maslo's just doing this to get famous; nice try. It seems he's already pretty damn famous--I mean, people KNOW about him even mocking GD. That in itself makes it obvious. He's donating any money that his song makes to charity--it's obvious this is just play for him.
In conclusion, I've had a lot to blab about K-pop/music in general. Today was hot. 90 degrees F.
